I have to solution for you.  The ever-practical life saver of a solution (if you live in the Greater Toronto Area).

Haircutsonwheels.ca: Making Life Just A Little Less Hairy

Kimberly arrived at our house, lay down a drop sheet, set up her stool and portable DVD player and was ready to start cutting the kids hair within a nanosecond. It was incredible to watch.  Her cheery and friendly disposition endeared her to the kids immediately.

The Boy was first to get his hair cut. He was so thrilled at being given the chance to watch his choice of DVD (Thomas) that he never looked left, nor right.  He went from shaggy to devilishly handsome within minutes.

Then it was time for The Girl.  I was a little apprehensive as her last 2 haircuts had been loud.  And I mean really LOUD.  Like hold her down in the chair screaming loud.  And her bangs reflected her inability to sit still at the necessary time.  She’d had 2 REALLY bad cuts in a row.

This was the scene this time.

Nary a fuss, nor a tear, nor a scream.  A little quiet perhaps but with the gentle chatting of Kimberly, Barney on the DVD and a lollipop to calm the nerves… she was happy as a clam.  And what an improvement.  Not all bangs are cut equally- but Kimberly gave her the cutest bob with gentle bangs and she looked darling.

Here’s the thing. We didn’t leave the house, didn’t have to find or pay for parking, didn’t deal with the tempting toys at the children’s hair cutting salons, didn’t deal with  the other children and their parents.  And the cut was better. And the price?  THE SAME! Helllooooooo?  It’s a no brainer for us.

Here’s the clincher.  I can have MY hair and the two kids hair cuts for the same price as one of my cuts at the salon.  And I don’t have to pay for a babysitter.  I don’t even have to get dressed – though I am sure Kimberly would rather you weren’t in your jammies!

One last thing.  Kimberly comes armed with her own dustbuster.  She cleans up after her haircuts.

Haircutsonwheels.ca is a brilliant business.  Kimberly cuts kids hairs, she cuts elderly people’s hair and she even visits schools and daycares. And the price is right.  And she is one of the loveliest people I have ever met.  And kids have been asking when she was coming back to cut their hair again. October is my answer, and she’ll be cutting all of our hair!

Haircutsonwheels.ca is currently nominated for the SavvyMom Entrepreneur of the Year award. Please, take the time to vote for Kimberly.  She is running a top notch business, and she’s hoping to franchise so this amazing service can come to you.  It is a life saver, and a practical solution for all you busy parents out there.
