Does being a twin or multiple affect development? I’ve heard of twins developing their own language.

You have to remember just because you are having more then one baby they are still normal babies. The closest thing to developmental delays that multiples seem to get is often they are born early, and the more babies you have the earlier they seem to come. So like any premature baby they have their real age and their adjusted age.

If anything my triplets taught each other things! It was almost like I taught one of them something and they taught the other two, it was great.

My twins boys used to have their own twin talk. It was quite cute. But they did grow out of it and the nurses said it was quite rare. The only other thing I noticed in regards to delay is as they began to talk and they learnt a new word they would both pronoun the word the same cute and yet wrong way – drillas for example (gorillas) and they seemed to keep the mispronunciation longer then most as they reinforced it in each other.
