When my twin niece and nephew were getting like my sister found a family holiday always helped - getting out of the usual rut and away from any influences. Then having an entire two weeks where they only knew each other and no one else so they were forced to get alone. At first it was a bumpy ride, but within a day or two they were getting along and getting up to mischief together. Sometimes you find it’s just your environment and people whispering in your ear that can make the negative difference, remove that for a bit and they’ll realize they really do like each other.

Sit down with both of them and explain the importance of family and the importance of brothers and sisters. Also have that whole puberty talk with them and explain how each of them is changing and that neither should feel awkward or be made fun of for it. And also let them in on the little secret that if they observe each other and how they each other act they will be way ahead on the dating game – sisters are a great source of information for brothers to learn about how girls are and vice versa.

Sibling rivalry will happen whether they are twins or not. Just try and teach each child tolerance and acceptance for others and assure both of them that you love them equally.
