triplets

I’m expecting triplets in just two months – can they share the same cot?

  1. This is pretty similar to the question about a baby sleeping in bed with you. My twins slept in the same cot no problems, but I did put them up separate ends. Perhaps with triplets you could put the third in the middle since they don’t move much at first.

  2. There is an increased chance of SIDS with multiple babies in the same cot. When I had triplets 2 years ago the nurses told me having multiple babies in the one bed increased chances of overheating and rolling on each other. Also if the babies faced each other they could breathe in each others carbon dioxide. Talk to your nurse.

  3. The nurses warned me against it with my triplets. They said there is no conclusive evidence but that increased SIDS was a possibility. When it comes to your babies why even risk it.
