I save folding for naptime and fold it in front of afternoon adult tv. Putting away takes a bit longer, but if I wait for playtime and let baby play on the floor of whatever room I am putting things away in it seems to work. Just keep the folded stuff away from her!
As she gets older, I will teach her to put her things away.
Now if only I could DH to do the same…

I also tend to fold laundry when I’m watching TV and for the putting it away part, we have “laundry parties” where we all go upstairs and put our laundry away together. There is something about the comaraderie that just works for us.

I’m so glad you asked! This is going to sound nuts but three years ago I started doing this and it has totally tamed the beast!
Fresh out of the dryer I bring the load to my bedroom, dump it on the bed, fold and put in respective rooms.
There’s something great about having that big space (my bed) to dump, fold and make piles.
I can’t believe it took me this long to figure this out but it really has helped.
