I am a mother of 2 young children and I would love for my husband to say “I will watch the children for the whole day today, today is your day to go out and do what you want to do”. I would feel guilty asking my husband to do this but for him to offer on his own would be wonderful. Or perhaps you could send her some flowers out of the blue or surprise her with a night out where she has no idea where you are going until you get there. You could hide a nice little note expressing your appreciation somewhere where she will find it later. Anything that would be outside of what you would ordinarily do would probably be really nice…it is that element of surprise. Good Luck!

Have the house clean for her, have dinner ready, maybe get someone to watch the kids, or plan an evening for when they are asleep. Draw her a nice bath (if she likes baths) and put candles in their so she can relax. And give her a massage too! All things I would love! It’s more about the doing then the $$ of a gift, imo.
